Finding the right in-home caregiver
It all begins with our detailed screening and face to face interview process. Less than 4% of all the caregivers we interview meet the high professionalism and qualification standards we set. AmeriHome healthcare registers a CNA or HHA with the highest regard for your loved one’s care needs in mind. This is the final question our interviewers always ask themselves before registering a homecare giver. “Would I feel comfortable that this person is qualified to care for my Mom or Dad?”
Once homecare givers completes the interview process, they are fingerprinted to undergo a federal criminal background check. Additionally, a Motor Vehicle driving record report is obtained as well as a Social Security verification. We also require a minimum of 2 professional references all prior to their hiring.
We then categorize each caregiver based on their years of experience and training with specific illnesses or injuries. Such as working with stroke patients, Alzheimer and Dementia patients, Hospice patients etc. We focus on their specialty and then classify them accordingly. The home caregivers on our registry carry their own liability insurance and auto insurance. Insurance coverage is an important issue to consider before you choose a homecare giver, as you do not want to be held responsible for any unforeseen circumstance.
Proper Licenses and Insurances
AmeriHome Healthcare also makes sure that all registered caregivers are certified (if they are an HHA) and/or licensed(CNA). We maintain current copies of their Certifications and Licenses.
AmeriHome Healthcare maintains a file consisting of all accredited licensing, social security, proof of citizenship. As well as CPR, and all applicable documents including a copy of each caregivers Liability Policy. All of these documents are available upon request.
Caregivers undergo an extensive interview process, as we do our best to match the caregiver and the patient.
