Why the Right Caregiver
Changes Everything

Matched for More
Than Credentials

Technical skills matter, but personality, communication style, and trust matter just as much. We match caregivers by training and experience, and how well they fit your loved one’s needs, including personal home care requirements.

Consistency You Can Count On

Frequent caregiver changes create stress, especially for seniors with memory conditions. We aim to match your loved one with a consistent caregiver or team, so they see familiar faces and build a stable, trusting relationship.

Screened to a Standard
That Matters

Every caregiver undergoes a Level II background check, in-person interview, reference verification, and full credential review. Our process ensures only qualified caregivers are referred to your family.

Flexible Without
Being Complicated

Care needs change over time, sometimes quickly. We can help you transition from part-time care to daily or overnight support, without requiring your family to restart the process or reorganize care.

How Personal Care Can
Support Your Daily Routine

Bathing & Skin Care

Bathing requires both support and sensitivity. Caregivers assist with showers, hygiene, and skin care in a calm, respectful, consistent way, always adjusting to your loved one’s comfort level, preferences, and pace.

Dressing & Daily Appearance

Feeling well-dressed affects confidence and mood. Caregivers help select clothing, manage fasteners, and ensure comfort, while encouraging independence and allowing your loved one to stay involved in the process.

Mobility & Transfer Support

Safe movement is essential to prevent injuries. Caregivers assist with walking, transfers, repositioning, and navigating the home, providing steady support that reduces fall risk without limiting independence or daily activity.

Meal Support & Nutrition

Eating well can become difficult with age or health changes. Caregivers assist with meals, support safe eating, prepare food, and follow dietary needs, helping maintain nutrition, energy, and daily routine.

Toileting & Continence Support

This area requires discretion and professionalism. Caregivers provide respectful toileting and continence support, helping maintain comfort, cleanliness, and dignity while minimizing discomfort in daily routines.

Supervision & Safety

Some seniors need oversight rather than constant help. Caregivers provide attentive supervision, notice changes, and ensure your loved one stays safe and
supported — especially when providing personal care for seniors.

FAQ

Resistance is one of the most common challenges families face when introducing personal care, and one of the most understandable. We can connect you with caregivers who have specific experience building trust with resistant or private individuals. Starting with lighter, less-intimate tasks first can also ease the transition.

Caregivers undergo a thorough vetting process before they are introduced to a family. Beyond screening, we are always just a phone call away should any issues arise. If anything is not meeting expectations, we can address it on your behalf and, if requested, make a change — without putting the burden on your family to manage that conversation alone.

We understand how important caregiver consistency is, because routine and familiarity genuinely matter to the people receiving care. While we are always available should you need coverage due to a caregiver's illness or emergency, our goal is to refer a caregiver who can establish a stable, trusted presence in your loved one's home — not a revolving door of unfamiliar faces.

This is one of the most common situations we navigate with families. If a loved one's condition progresses or recovery takes longer than expected, clients are able to adjust the care accordingly — adding hours, shifting to overnight coverage, or transitioning to live-in support without the need to start the process from scratch.

Yes. Caregivers can provide medication reminders and support with medication management as permitted under Florida regulations. They do not make clinical decisions or administer medications in ways that fall outside their scope — but they can provide the consistent prompting and oversight that helps a daily medication routine stay on track.

Yes. Parkinson's disease presents specific challenges — including tremors, mobility changes, swallowing difficulties, and fatigue — that require a caregiver who understands the condition. We can match families with caregivers who have direct, hands-on experience supporting individuals living with Parkinson's, Alzheimer's disease, dementia, and other chronic conditions.

AmeriHome processes Long-Term Care Insurance (LTC), assists with VA Benefits for eligible veterans and surviving spouses, and works with families on Private Pay arrangements, including credit card, debit card, and ACH. We help you understand your options clearly — without overpromising what any particular plan covers.
