Registered Nurse (RN): requires a degree from an accredited School of Nursing. Also requires a current, and active license in the State of Florida.
LPN: have extensive practical patient care training. They are licensed by the State of Florida to provide a high level of care. In addition, an LPN can manage the medical plan created by the RN. Because of their training, can also provide the services of a CNA or Companion.
When you need a higher level of skilled nursing care, we can refer a Registerd Nurse to you. The experienced, Registered Nurse professionals and LPN’s on our registry can manage, observe and also evaluate your care. Nurses referred by AmeriHome Health Care have had extensive training in addition to being highly qualified to meet your healthcare needs. From Intensive Care Nursing Services to bedside care. They can provide assistance in helping you improve conditions, while also keeping a current condition from getting worse. In addition, the nurses we refer can teach you and your loved ones about your illness. However, in many instances, a Registered Nurse or LPN may not be needed on a daily basis. While there are times that they will oversee a client’s care, this depends upon the circumstances and the Doctors orders. RN’s and LPN’s can also be referred to help with the the patient’s home care.
They can also evaluate a client’s unique situation and implement strategies that will become coordinated with another caregiver. In some cases the client may need an RN or LPN to oversee a unique situation. There are also some medical situations that require special in home services and cannot be performed by another type of caregiver. An RN requires a degree from an accredited school of nursing in Florida. An RN is also required by law to carry an active and current license. It is the RN who assesses the need of the client and creates their plan of care. Treatment by another referred caregiver is then based on those specific needs. RN’s can provide the care if medical procedures are required.
