Veterans Assistance can be a life saver! February has been a very busy month at Amerihome Healthcare. We were very fortunate to participate in the 7th annual Florida Navigator Community Resource Expo and Health Fair at Century Village in Boca Raton.
It was wonderful meeting all of the residents that attended the health fair. The Best Part was being able to help get many people qualified for the Veterans Assistance Program. Since the show we have been able to get the information needed to get some residents that had no idea that they were able to be qualified. It is an incredible feeling being able to help those who so desperately need in home health care but cannot afford the cost.
This program is for Veterans or Veterans spouses who need skilled services, case management and help with activities of daily living. Examples include help with bathing, dressing, fixing meals or taking medicines. This program is also for Veterans who are isolated or their caregiver is experiencing a burden. Homemaker and Home Health Aide services can be used in combination with other Home and Community Based Services.
